1.
יְהוָה רֹעִי לֹא אֶחְסָר
Adonai ro’i lo echsar
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2.
בִּנְאוֹת דֶּשֶׁא יַרְבִּיצֵנִי
Bin’ot deshe yarbitzeini
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
עַל מֵי מְנֻחוֹת יְנַהֲלֵנִי
Al mei menuchot yenahaleini
He leads me beside still waters.
3.
נַפְשִׁי יְשׁוֹבֵב
Nafshi yeshovev
He restores my soul;
יַנְחֵנִי בְּמַעְגְּלֵי־צֶדֶק לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ
Yancheini b’ma’aglei-tzedek lemaan sh’mo
He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
4.
גַּם כִּי־אֵלֵךְ בְּגֵיא צַלְמָוֶת לֹא־אִירָא רָע
Gam ki-elech b’gei tzalmavet lo-ira ra
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
כִּי־אַתָּה עִמָּדִי
Ki-atah imadi
For You are with me;
שִׁבְטְךָ וּמִשְׁעַנְתֶּךָ הֵמָּה יְנַחֲמֻנִי
Shivtecha u’mishantecha hemah yenachamuni
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5.
תַּעֲרֹךְ לְפָנַי שֻׁלְחָן נֶגֶד צֹרְרָי
Ta’aroch lefanai shulchan neged tzor’rai
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
דִּשַּׁנְתָּ בַשֶּׁמֶן רֹאשִׁי
Dishanta vashemen roshi
You anoint my head with oil;
כּוֹסִי רְוָיָה
Kosi revayah
My cup overflows.
6.
אַךְ טוֹב וָחֶסֶד יִרְדְּפוּנִי כָּל יְמֵי חַיַּי
Ach tov vachesed yird’funi kol y’mei chayai
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
וְשַׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית יְהוָה לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים
V’shavti b’veit Adonai l’orech yamim
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
